Saturday 4 December

This year's Christmas Merry Muster will be held on Sat 4 Dec. It's going to be an amazing day out – full of regional goodness!

We will start the day heading out to Summer Land Camels in the beautiful Scenic Rim. This picturesque camel farm will play host to a huge Christmas market full to the brim with makers, bakers, creators and growers from all around the area. We will enjoy a gourmet morning tea, you can get a selfie with a camel or even have a ride on one! Plus, take time to explore the farm shop full of goodies and the farm itself.

Before we leave, grab lunch from one of the many onsite foodie vendors and enjoy, before we hop on our air conditioned coaches to our next stop. Rest your tired legs, show off your purchases or even have an afternoon nap before our arrival into Applethorpe.

Here, Buy From the Bush QLD will be hosting a boutique market full of amazing bush businesses from all over QLD at the Granite Belt Christmas Farm. We will enjoy a delicious afternoon tea with a glass of bubbles and have time to explore this fabulous farm which also boasts a huge onsite Christmas store. You can even feed some of Santa's animals or explore the Christmas tree forest where locals come and pick their fresh tree each year.

Plus, all attendees go into the drawer to win some seriously fabulous 'Lucky Guest Prizes' this year from all our wonderful sponsors!

Tickets include a full day itinerary, gourmet local produce morning tea, Merry Muster shopping tote, delicious afternoon tea including a glass of bubbles, wine tasting, donation to two chosen charities on the day and luxury air conditioned coach. Lunch can be purchased at your own cost from a range of local foodie vendors onsite at our first stop.

Keep a watch on our Facebook page for all the most up-to-date information.

FAQ’s.

Pick up points? GOLD COAST: Ashmore Community Park, 135 Currumburra Rd, Ashmore. BRISBANE: Northshore Hamilton Ferry Terminal carpark, 285 Macarthur Avenue, Hamilton then we stop at Jindalee Homemaker Centre, 34 Goggs Road Jindalee at the council bus stop out front of the centre.

Departure times? Please arrive at least 15 mins prior to departure as we are leaving on time. 7.30am Ashmore, 7.30am Hamilton, 8am Jindalee

Parking? Ashmore Community Park has a large free carpark
Hamilton - large free carpark near the ferry terminal and cafe that is also used by Eat Street
Jindalee - I would encourage people to get dropped off here or park in the surrounding suburbs.

When do we get back? Its a big day. We are aiming to be back at Jindalee around 7.30pm and Hamilton by 8pm. Ashmore will be closer to 8pm.

Is there a ticket limit? No, this event is capped at 500 places, so you can buy as many tickets as you like for your group.

Do you cater for dietaries? Of course, when you buy your ticket you will have the option to specify dietaries ie. Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vego, Vegan, Seafood Allergy. We don't need to know ingredients in detail ie. hate mushrooms etc, just avoid those on the day, easy.

Is there allocated buses or seating? There will be no allocated buses or seating this year. If you are joining us in a group then arrive together and hop on your selected bus as a group. If you are getting on at Hamilton and are picking up a friend in Jindalee then you need to save them a spot.

What if I get travel sick? Me too - its yuck - but if you need to sit towards the front, then please get on at our first stop at Hamilton to ensure your forward seat. The very front seat is reserved for the bus leaders so should be kept free please.

Are there concession prices? There are no concessions or child pricing as this event is run voluntarily as a charity event and each dollar is pre-allocated per person to supporting our regions. We don't encourage people to bring children along as it's a long, hot, 12 hour day.

What if the C word strikes (yes damn Covid)? Fingers crossed we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel by then and our vax numbers are looking good to ensure a fabulous day out. We chose these remote farms as the venues as they are large outdoor venues and have covid safe plans in place. I cannot guarantee a full refund at this stage as I am running this charity event voluntarily and will have pre-paid for our produce for meals, seating hire, toilet facilities hire, marquees etc. If you are coming from interstate then I would recommend holding off buying tickets. We don't know what the nature of border restrictions will be by then. I would rather you join us next year when things aren't up in the air.

Whats on offer for lunch? There is an option when you buy your ticket to include a Scenic Rim Gourmet Produce lunchbox with your ticket. This will have the best of the best of the local delights and is well worth including. If you want to see how you feel on the day, then you can do that too and choose from a food vendor onsite.

What are the most important things to bring? An eski with ice so you can take home all manner of delicious things. There will be nowhere to buy ice on our stops so please bring with you on departure. It's going to be hot so please bring multiple water bottles with you on the day. There will be shaded areas allocated to us to sit and rest. Also bring a sun hat, sunscreen, reusable shopping bags and a big smile. We are going to have the best day.
